Daddy’s girls have better mind health
GROWING up as a mummy’s boy or daddy’s girl makes you less likely to suffer mental health problems, research claims.
Boys who are “extremely close” to their mums at 14 are 41% less likely to have emotional difficulties.
And girls close to their dads are 44% less likely to suffer mental health problems or have trouble with peers, the Marriage Foundation think tank found.
Chairman Sir Paul Coleridge said: “A strong relationship with the parent of the opposite sex boosts self-esteem and peer group relationship skills, both [these] support sound mental health.”
