I WAS never tempted to try drugs. Maybe it was because I saw the destruction they caused.

No, I tried marijuana once. It was my dad who let me and I think he wanted to teach me a lesson.

I didn’t see marijuana as a harmful drug. The effects weren’t the same as heroin or crack in the way they destroyed his life.

I’m not condoning marijuana, because it’s illegal. But it felt different.

Within a few minutes I remember throwing up everywhere. I was so sick.

My dad was p***ing himself laughing and his words were: “That’ll teach you a lesson.” It bloody did! I was 12. Since then, I was never tempted.
