DJ cleared of abuse charge

-

ONE of BBC Radio One’s founding DJs has been cleared of abusing a teen.

Chris Denning – who is serving 13 years for child sex abuse – was said to have attacked the 14-yearold from 1979 to 1981.

The case against the 76-year-old and fellow accused Graham Soper, 58, was dropped at Southwark crown court on June 13.

It could not be reported due to the trial of ex-pop star Jonathan King, at the court. King, 73, was cleared of grooming 11 boys.
