Pals play cop chase prank on Facebook

- BY STEVE WHITE

A MAN’S friends sabotaged his Facebook page to make it appear he was being hunted by police.

They posted a grinning selfie of four officers claiming to have 23-yearold Rian Kennington’s phone after he dropped it in a police chase.

The post read: ‘What’s up Rian, you lost your phone running 100mph from us yesterday.”

It appeared to come from Humberside Police and told him to retrieve his mobile from a station.

Chief Inspector Will Jenkins said: “It looks like he has cheeky friends.

“They used an old photo of [officers] at Norfolk Police to play a prank.

“While they are technically impersonating a police officer, which is an offence, we’ll let it go.”
