NORRIE’S ON A HOME RUN
CAMERON NORRIE is targeting a moneyspinning US Open run to help fund his dream of a new pad in London. And the British No.2 said he’s ready to “rip through the tournament” as he now feels at home at Grand Slam level. Norrie joined Andy Murray in the secondround draw at Flushing Meadows after an impressive four-set win over Australian Jordan Thompson. He is guaranteed a cheque for £70,000 even if he loses to Serbian Dusan Lajovic in today’s second-round clash. The 23-year-old said: “I’m looking to try to get a place in London so I’ll probably have to make the semis here to pay for it! I’m planning to base myself there in the long term.”
