Implant to stop epileptic fits

AN electronic device implanted in the brain could stop epileptic seizures, scientists believe.

Cambridge University has developed the implant which detects seizures and delivers a natural chemical to stop them.

They hope the research, so far only in mice, will also help treat Parkinson’s in the future.
