Snub to North

YOU have to wonder if this Tory government cares about what happens beyond the M25.

For all their talk of a Northern Powerhouse too often the North is treated as an afterthought by ministers.

In the latest blow, they have underestimated the number of new homes needed. This threatens to deprive the region of housing, jobs and a huge economic windfall.

If Britain is to prosper then all parts of the country should be treated fairly. Not just those which happen to have a Tory MP.
