A MAN suspected of the knife murders of a mum and daughter is arrested after ending up in a dead-end alley as he tried to flee police.

Janbaz Tarin, 21, went on the run after ex-partner Raneem Oudeh, 22, and mum Khaola Saleem, 49, were found dead yards from home in Solihull, West Mids, in the early hours of Bank Holiday Monday.

Police swooped on the Afghan immigrant in Sparkhill, Birmingham, on Thursday night.

One local said: “He tried to leg it after jumping over a car but the police were too fast.” Detectives were continuing to quiz Tarin last night.
