- FROM GAVIN BERRY

The Aussie, 29, came from a set down to beat the 20-time Grand Slam legend 3-6 7-5 7-6 (9-7) 7-6 (7-3). Federer (right), 37, said: “It was very hot and one of those nights where I felt I couldn’t get air. There was no circulation at all. I kept sweating more and more as the match went on and you lose energy. ”Defending Open women’s champion Sloane Stephens went out in the quarter-finals after losing 6-2 6-3 to Latvian 19th seed Anastasija Sevastova.
