One of the more unsettling reality shows, this one sees celebrities experience solitary confinement for five days. It arrives off the back of last year’s special, which saw four people take on the mental endurance test.
With absolutely no connection to the outside world, the famous faces are not even allowed to know what time it is as they stay, effectively, in a prison cell.
They are only allowed three items to help pass the time. Comedian Shazia Mirza chooses, among other things, a world globe, while Stephen Manderson (aka Professor Green) wants a notebook and pen. The World’s Strongest Man (2017) Eddie Hall has painting materials, while TV personality Anthea Turner brings a 5,000-piece jigsaw puzzle.
But none of these prove a worthy substitute for their mobile phones, home comforts or human interaction.
