I was interested in the letter from the man who’s stayed with his wife, despite knowing for five years that she’d cheated on him (Dear Coleen, Sept 12).

While we all know he should face this and tell her what he knows, I understand from personal experience how hard it is to do this.

I was in a similar situation after finding out my husband was having an affair, but I shut my eyes to it for a long time because I still loved him and didn’t want to admit the truth.
