WARNING SIGNS OF ANXIETY

Feeling anxious occasional­ly is normal, especially if you’re dealing with a stressful life event. Anxiety becomes a problem when it starts to impact your day-to-day enjoyment of life, your relationsh­ips and your job.

Here are some signs to be aware of from mental health charity Mind:

Feeling dizzy or light-headed Faster breathing Rapid or irregular heartbeat Sweating Problems sleeping A churning feeling in your stomach, or nausea Going to the loo more or less often Changes in sex drive Aches and pains Feeling tense and unable to relax Needing reassuranc­e from other people or worrying people are upset with you Thinking over a situation again and again Feeling disconnect­ed from the world around you Worrying about things that might happen in the future Panic attacks
