Lost gnashers saga a toothache for soccer club

-

FOOTBALL club bosses who found a fan’s set of dentures after a match have now lost them.

The gnashers were found after Accrington Stanley’s 2-1 victory over AFC Wimbledon at Crown Ground stadium on Saturday. They tweeted an appeal for their owner to come forward and the post went viral. But Dave Burgess, managing director of the Lancashire-based League One side, admitted the saga had become a bit of a toothache after they went missing from an office.

He said: “We don’t know where they are now. They have wandered off over the weekend somewhere.” Asked how a lost set of false teeth could vanish again, Mr Burgess said: “The same way the person did in the first place, I guess!”

The owner of the teeth has yet to come forward.
