EAGER Michael and the experiment participants BBC2 8pm

RUNNER’S high is an actual thing – a release of feel-good chemicals that gives you a real buzz from the exercise. The question is, can you get runner’s high without running?

DAVE, 9pm

It’s hard to explain why some shows just have that magic and others don’t work at all. Simon Cowell would call it the X Factor. Taskmaster definitely has it.

One of the best formats on telly, this bizarre and utterly pointless game show never disappoints.

Maybe it’s the chemistry between Taskmaster Greg Davies and his “sufficient assistant” Alex Horne. Or possibly it’s because the players can be everything from clever and inventive to completely stupid all within the space of five minutes.

In this episode, actor Jessica Knappett and comedians Kerry Godliman, Phil Wang, James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert have to work out what a switch does.

We also find out what happens when James tries the emergency alarm on a lift, whether or not Rhod will regret smearing mustard in his eyes and why Jessica piles shoes on a butcher’s scales. Tune in and get all the answers to questions you never knew you cared about.
