BILLY JOE ‘FAILS DRUG TEST’

BILLY JOE SAUNDERS faces being stripped of his WBO middleweight title after failing a drugs test.

Sources in the US claim Saunders, 29, showed traces of the banned stimulant oxilofrine during a test carried out by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association.

Unbeaten Saunders (right) tried to dismiss the report, posting a message on twitter with laughing emojis and the words “some s**t”.

Saunders’ defence against Demetrius Andrade in Boston on October 20 will be called off and he could also lose his WBO title.

Saunders was fined £100,000 this week by boxing authorities for offering drugs to a suspected user in return for performing a sex act and hitting a random passer-by.
