Cancer-fight mum of 6 can speak again
A MUM-of-six has got her voice back after a round of treatment in Germany for a brain tumour.
Heidi Greenwood went for £30,000-a-time immunotherapy after the NHS, which does not provide the treatment, said there was no more it could do.
A JustGiving appeal raised only £7,000 for costs that could hit £300,000 so Heidi’s family took out a loan and friends lent cash.
The mum, of Stockport, Gtr Manchester, said: “The fact I can talk shows the treatment is working. Doctors have been brilliant.”
Husband Dave said he could “see a massive difference in her”.
Heidi praised her children – aged nine to 23 – for all helping raise money to fund the trips to the Hallwang clinic in Dornstetten.
