JUST’S THE TICKET
JUST WONDERFUL sprang back to life at Newmarket to earn a 12-1 quote with Paddy Power for next year’s 1,000 Guineas.
The Aidan O’Brien-trained filly flopped when seventh to Skitter Scatter in the top-level Moyglare Stud Stakes on rain-softened ground at the Curragh on her previous start. But Just Wonderful (right) proved too strong for her
rivals in the Group 2 Rockfel Stakes, readily holding Dandhu by a length and threequarters.
“The ground in the Moyglare was just too bad,” said winning jockey Ryan Moore.
“But she’s a really smart filly, we’ve always liked her and her mother won this race.
“Hopefully we’ll get to see a bit more of her as a three-year-old. She’s a fast filly but a mile wouldn’t be a problem.”
