A TEACHER who had sex with a 16-year-old pupil on a plane told him he got her pregnant, a court heard.

On a school trip abroad, Ellie Wilson, 29, engaged in foreplay with the boy in their seats and then led him into the toilet, where they had full intercourse.

She later told the student that she was pregnant and would have an abortion, which was “hard for him to comprehend”, the jury was told.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told police: “I asked her if she regretted what happened on the plane.

“She didn’t regret it. I expressed my worries at this point about a potential pregnancy and she said: ‘You don’t have to worry, I’m on the injection.’”

After the trip, the pair allegedly went on dates. The court heard they had pub meals and drank cider. Jurors were told that the boy bought Wilson flowers and chocolates, and they kissed in his bedroom.

Wilson rang him while she was on holiday in Italy with her boyfriend. The physics teacher told the boy she was pregnant a month after the school trip, jurors heard.

Virginia Cornwall, prosecuting, said: “She intended to have an abortion. She kept this entirely from her partner. This was difficult for the pupil to understand.”

Ms Cornwall told the court that the pair became close during a school camping trip. They would stay up late talking, which led to an “erosion of boundaries”.

The boy told police: “We spent a lot of time together. We were on a coach… to the airport. She was asleep and she touched my hand a little bit. I moved my hand.

“It all kicked off from there. We boarded the plane and had alcohol. We were probably drinking too much. I was fairly intoxicated. It all got a bit touchy – of course, I am a bit drunk and I touch her back.”

The affair was exposed in 2016, when a friend of the alleged victim tried to blackmail Wilson into having sex with him. She refused, and confessed to her superiors at the school. She later resigned.

Wilson of Dursley, Glos, denies four charges of sexual activity with a child under 18 by a person in a position of trust in August and September 2015. The trial at Bristol crown court continues.
