Hi mum, I’ve got married .. to myself

WEDDING Lulu Jemimah AN Oxford University student sick of being asked when she was tying the knot got married to herself.

Lulu Jemimah, 32, was fed-up with her family lecturing her on the importance of settling down.

She decided to stage a full mock wedding and sent out formal invitations.

She hired a dress, walked through the venue to the wedding march and even gave a speech explaining the lack of a groom.

The ceremony took place in Lulu’s home city of Kampala in Uganda.

She said: “I was extremely happy. So many friends showed up.”

Her parents did not attend the big day but Lulu did go and see her mother to explain her move. She said: “Mum was a bit confused and slightly hurt.”
