Haley’s comment does not add up for Trump
THIS week, it was the turn of Nikki Haley, the US Ambassador to the United Nations, to step down.
She gave no reason for her exit but declared that the rest of the world couldn’t possibly have more respect for President Donald Trump than it currently does. But, going by the current polls, it looks like she could not be more wrong.
The stats show that the UK was 79% confident that his predecessor, Barack Obama, would do the right thing on world affairs. Under Trump, it is 22%.
Germany’s trust in the previous US leader stood at 86% but for Trump it’s 11%. France, too, has returned similar figures. With her grasp of numbers, God forbid Haley moves over to the Treasury.
