Half of young eating alone
NEARLY half of Brits aged 18 to 24 eat dinner alone, a study found.
And 22% of those quizzed said they wolfed down food “on the go” rather than at the table.
But 78% felt that having meals with family was important, the survey by slow cooker makers Crock-Pot found.
■ Sales of low-calorie frozen meals rose by 5.6% to £112.5million last year as health-conscious people ditch junk food, said analysts Kantar Worldpanel.
