Snout of order

-

BAILED-out RBS shelling out £335million in bonuses is an insult to all of Britain’s taxpaying hard grafters.

Our wages are still worth less than before the 2008 financial collapse, yet snouts are back in the trough at this largely publicly owned bank. It still owes the Treasury a small fortune and the share price is well below rescue rate.

Along with bonuses at power regulator Ofgem, it is an example of the lucky few being rewarded while the many have to tighten belts.

Success deserves rewards but they are rarely for carers, nurses, teachers, firefighters, police officers and most people working in the public and private sectors.

They can only dream of windfalls anywhere near as large as RBS bonuses.

We want fair pay. We get inequality.
