DAN ROCKS THE ROBINS
MICHAEL O’NEILL was taking nothing for granted after Danny Batth’s equaliser put Stoke on the brink of safety.
A 64th-minute header from the defender (above) all but ended Bristol City’s play-off hopes – and moved the Potters five points clear of the drop zone. But Stoke chief O’Neill said: “This is another big step towards staying up for us, but it’s still not mathematically certain.”
Filip Benkovic fired the Robins ahead in first-half stoppage time. And Bristol City caretaker-boss Dean Holden warned: “No one is getting on the beach. There is a huge amount still to play for.”
