THOUSANDS of Scots took to the beach and queued for ice cream yesterday as that strange yellow thing appeared in the sky again, pushing temperatures into the 80s.
Sunseekers made the most of the glorious weather on what for large parts of the country was a holiday weekend.
Yesterday saw Scotland record Britain’s top temperature for the second day in succession, with the lucky people of Lossiemouth, Moray, basking in 85F (29.2C). But don’t get too used to this Mediterranean-style weather because, typically, rain is on the horizon.
The Met Ofice have issued a yellow warning for wet weather for the whole of the UK.
