Parly knife suspect held

POLICE Tasered a suspect outside the Houses of Parliament yesterday after he apparently reached for a knife.

It happened yards from where Westminster Bridge murderer Khalid Masood was shot dead by police in March after fatally stabbing an officer, PC Keith Palmer.

Police were keeping an open mind on whether yesterday’s incident was terror-related. It was being investigated by Scotland Yard’s Terrorism Command.

Witnesses heard police shouting “Knife! Knife! ” after approaching the suspect, a man in his 30s. The man was then shot with a Taser and taken into custody.
