Scott’s success
SCOTTISH swimmer Scott McLay made history in the pool after striking gold for the third time at the Bahamas Commonwealth Youth Games.
The 18-year-old from Perth won the 50m freestyle, bringing his tally to three gold, one silver and one bronze and making him Scotland’s most successful Youth Games athlete.
McLay said: “I can’t believe it. Being part of Team Scotland and having team-mates from all of the sports come along to cheer me on has been really special. I’ll pay it back tomorrow at their events.”
