TORY FOX: YEARS OF BREXIT CHAOS IS NO BIG DEAL
ECONOMIC chaos is fine if you’re independently wealthy like rich Tory Brexit cheerleader Liam Fox.
With a characteristic shrug of his shoulders, the arrogant MP doesn’t seem bothered about the details of our full exit from Europe.
The length of the transitional period is not of “huge” importance, according to Fox.
Those words underline just how shockingly out of touch this coalition of wealthy Tories really are.
Fox can sit back and relax knowing his £1million fortune is a pretty comfortable cushion.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country anxiously hopes Brexit won’t upset the delicate household finances.
Fox is a particularly ruthless man when it comes to ideological battles.
And the minister – who once had to resign as defence secretary after allowing an unvetted friend and business associate to join him at meetings – sums up all that’s wrong with the UK Government’s attitude.
He is the living embodiment of David Cameron’s carefree whistle – the little ditty the ex-PM accidentally recorded for posterity on TV after losing the EU referendum.
They got us all into this position, and they should be displaying a lot more concern about how to get us out.
Many Scots voted for Brexit, most didn’t. Leave or Remain, everyone deserves more than blind, stupid arrogance masquerading as a plan.
We need clarity, not more dismissive posturing from an out-of-touch elite.
