A SCOTS busker has to audition twice to stand out from the X Factor crowd.

In tonight’s show, Gregor Coleman – who is often seen singing and playing guitar in Glasgow’s Buchanan Street – fails to impress the judges with Vance Joy’s Riptide.

Simon Cowell tells him: “I need you to do something that sets you apart.”

Gregor, of Barrhead, who has a striking butterfly tattoo on his throat, then returns to sing Rihanna’s Stay.

Also on tonight’s show is another Scot who has a fight on her hands to get through.

Nicole Simpson, 22, from Glasgow, sings Drake’s Just Hold On but Simon says: “I’m not jumping out of my chair. You are technically a very good singer but I’m trying to work out where you sit in this very crowded market of girls.”

The X Factor is on STV tonight at 8pm.
