Euro stars set to halt China on green baize

JOHN HIGGINS reckons there is enough talent around to stave off the Chinese snooker revolution.

China have been tipped to dominate the green baize for years to come and Higgins has also spoken highly of their youngsters.

The Scot, who takes on young Swiss star Alexander Ursenbacher at the Shanghai Masters today, said: “Young Ursenbacher looks a real one for the future.

“Luca Brecel’s also coming through and you have guys such as Anthony McGill and Kyren Wilson.

“You need European representation in the top 16 because you wouldn’t want the Chinese to just dominate the game.”
