Horror fall cyclist loses fight for life
A CYCLIST brought home to Scotland after Record readers donated to an appeal has died six months after an accident in Spain.
Retired lecturer John Telfer, 57, was left fighting for his life after he fell from his bike in Alicante in May.
An appeal raise more than £25,000 to bring John back home to West Lothian. But the dad of two has died after a battle with infection and respiratory issues.
His son Gregg said the family were proud of John and he was now “at peace.”
