Luxury car makers’ Brexit fear
ASTON Martin say they may have to halt production if there is a no-deal Brexit.
Chief financial officer Mark Wilson said the impact of leaving the EU without a trade agreement would be “semi-catastrophic”.
New cars built in the UK are tested by the Vehicle Certification Agency and can then be sold across the EU.
But manufacturers told the Commons business committee yesterday this set-up will cease if Brexit happens without a deal.
