ARSENE WENGER has targeted £45million-rated Brazilian star Malcom to replace Alexis Sanchez.

Manchester City have held discussions with Arsenal over Sanchez but have been told the Gunners want a replacement before they will sanction any move.

Emirates boss Wenger has Bordeaux forward Malcom on his radar and have held talks with the French club about signing him this window while Spurs and Manchester United are also watching.

They are still interested in Monaco’s Thomas Lemar but Liverpool are now favourites to get the France midfielder with Chelsea also in the hunt.

Arsenal also like Boca Juniors star Cristian Pavon and are watching developments closely with the fee likely to be around £30m. A PARTICK THISTLE defender Jordan Turnbull has left Firhill after being recalled by parent club Coventry.

The 23-year-old has been a regular for the Jags since joining in the summer. But a statement on Coventry’s website said: “The recall is with immediate effect, with a view to Jordan making a permanent transfer elsewhere in the coming days.” A READING insist Celtic target Liam Moore will only leave if it is right for the club.

The defender has also attracted interest from West Ham and West Brom.

But Reading chief executive Ron Gourlay said: “We are not a selling club. Anybody who leaves the club will be because it’s right for the player and right for the club.” A HEARTS are running the rule over Rico Quitongo, the son of former Tynecastle favourite Jose.

The 18-year-old left-back is available on a free transfer after leaving Premiership rivals Hamilton earlier this month.

Quitongo will train with the Jambos development squad as the senior side fly out to Spain this morning for their winter training camp and friendlies against Vitesse Arnhem and Nurnberg.

The defender spent the first half of this season on loan at junior club Bo’ness. A CRYSTAL PALACE believe they will wrap up the signing of West Ham striker Diafra Sakho by the end of the week.

Roy Hodgson’s side are also keen to reignite their interest in another Senegal frontman, Khouma Babacar of Fiorentina. A ST MIRREN striker Darryl Duffy is set to join League One side Airdrie on loan.

The 33-year-old former Falkirk and Hibs forward returned to Scotland in the summer after a three-year stint in India but has only made one start for Jack Ross’s Buddies.

And young St Mirren midfielder Connor O’Keefe is set to go out on loan to Annan for the rest of the season. A WEST HAM have been told they will have to stump up £15m for Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter.

Irons boss David Moyes is keen to add more mobility to his midfield this month while Arter wants to make the move.

But the clubs are far apart in their valuation, with West Ham unwilling to overpay for the 28-year-old. A MANCHESTER UNITED striker James Wilson has joined Sheffield United on loan for the remainder of the season.

And the Blades have also boosted their Championship promotion push by signing Wales midfielder Lee Evans from Wolves for an undisclosed fee. A SPURS have made moves to tie down England star Dele Alli on a new contract.

The 21-year-old attacker has become one of Europe’s hottest properties with Real Madrid and PSG among his admirers.

But Tottenham are confident he will stay and sign up to a new deal and informal discussions have already taken place as they look to keep one of their star men. A ARBROATH midfielder Jamie Henry is interesting League Two side Annan.

The former Aberdeen kid, 20, wants to move for regular first-team football. Arbroath boss Dick Campbell said: “We have agreed Jamie can talk to Annan to see if the deal interests him.”
