Stab death probe cops arrest man, 45
A MAN has been arrested in connection with the death of a suspected murder victim whose body lay undiscovered for weeks.
Alan Glancy, 47, was found by a family member at his home in Port Hamilton, Edinburgh, earlier this month.
Officers used a search warrant to gain access to an address in the city’s Longstone on Tuesday.
Last night, police confirmed a 45-year-old man has been detained in connection with Alan’s death.
Police initially told Alan’s family they suspected his death was drug related.
But a post-mortem established the Hibs fan had been stabbed to death.
A family member said the last known sighting of Alan was on January 9.
Detective chief inspector David Pinkney said: “Our inquiries are ongoing.”
