Hyslop’s exports warning
SCOTTISH exports with the country’s second biggest foreign market are being put at risk by Brexit, an SNP minister has warned.
External Affairs Secretary Fiona Hyslop spoke out as she prepared to visit the Netherlands, where 2016 exports were worth £2.1billion.
Only the US, at £4.8billion, took more Scottish goods.
Hyslop, who is holding meetings in The Hague today, said: “I will be emphasising our position that, despite the threat of Brexit, Scotland is open for business and we want to continue to have a strong and positive relationship.”
The Scottish Government published a paper on the impact of leaving Europe
