Tesco ‘sorry’ after debit card glitch

TESCO have apol­o­gised to cus­tomers after a glitch in their sys­tem led to it tak­ing up to three months to process hun­dreds of credit and debit card pay­ments.

The UK’s big­gest re­tail­ers said that about 300 of their 1700 Ex­press con­ve­nience stores had been af­fected by the prob­lem since the end of Novem­ber.

A spokesman said: “The is­sue has now been re­solved and we are sorry for any in­con­ve­nience this may have caused.”
