I’LL STOP MOHSNI GOING MAD AGAIN

CHAMPIONSHIP SPECIAL TONIGHT’S ACTION

- TEAMSHEET ALASDAIR FRASER

DUMBARTON have Craig Barr back after a ban but Chris McLaughlin, Tom Walsh and Grant Gallagher are still out. Visitors Brechin are without the suspended Willie Dyer and Aron Lynas with Ryan McGeever, Paul McLean and Andy Jackson all injured. Dunfermline are missing the injured Sean Murdoch, Michael Paton and Aaron Splaine plus suspended Jason Talbot when they host Caley Thistle. The Highland outfit have Jake Mulraney back but Nathan Austin is out with a hamstring problem and Coll Donaldson is a major doubt. Scott Robinson is Livingston’s only injury doubt for the visit of Morton who could have Luca Gasparotto available again. However, the Cappielow men have Michael Doyle suspended and Jamie McGowan, Lee Kilday, Ross Forbes, Robert Thomson and Jai Quitongo out injured. Queen of the South will be without goalkeeper Alan Martin as well as injured trio Shaun Rooney, Owen Bell and Danny Carmichael for the visit of Dundee United. The Tannadice side could include former Rangers defender Bilel Mohsni who has signed a short-term deal. They also have William Edjenguele, Grant Gillespie, Jordie Briels and Emil Lyng available after injury. However, Fraser Fyvie and Scott Fraser are both still on the sidelines. INVERNESS boss John Robertson insists it’s “ludicrous” his side are being asked to play just four days before the Irn-Bru Cup Final.

He claims the SPFL want to reschedule Saturday’s postponed league clash with Livingston for March 20, in the week Caley Thistle are preparing for the showpiece with Dumbarton.

And Robbo, already raging at being ordered to play Queen of the South in December after being stuck on the team bus for 14 hours due to a road accident, has hit out at league chiefs again.

Ahead of tonight’s trip to Dunfermline, he said: “Both us and Livingston have a free day on April 24, our preferred date. The league at this moment are preferring we play the week before the cup final because they want the last week free in case there’s another cancellation.

“We’ve had no favours from the league this year. It’s ludicrous. There’s a spare midweek, it suits both us and Livingston so why can’t the game be played then?”

Dunfermline head into tonight’s clash in dire form after going six games without a league victory.

And boss Allan Johnston said: “We need that win to get us started on a run. We have to keep in touch with the teams above us in the play-off push.” IAIN RUSSELL insists Dumbarton aren’t fooled by Brechin’s struggles ahead of tonight’s basement battle.

The Sons striker believes the Glebe Park side will pose a major threat despite a record of not having won in the league this season.

Russell said: “Brechin are dangerous because they haven’t won yet and will have targeted this game. But this is one we must win.”
