No1 does it better than Scot Harris
CALVIN Harris has become the 11th act in chart history to notch up nine or more chart-topping singles after his latest tune went to No1.
One Kiss, featuring Dua Lipa on vocals, is the Scot’s ninth No1 in the UK and ties him with Abba, Spice Girls, Rihanna and Eminem. The Shadows and Take That have 12 UK No1s, Madonna has 13, Westlife and Cliff Richard have 14, The Beatles 17 and Elvis is way in front with 21 UK No1s.
The song also scored the biggest No1 tally of 2018, amassing a combined total of 70,000 units to claim the top spot yesterday.
Dumfries-born Calvin, 34, born Adam Wiles, already holds the record for the album that features the most top 10 singles with 18 Months boasting nine top 10 hits.
