A MAN hid behind bushes before sexually assaulting a woman in a “terrifying” daytime attack.
The 25-year-old victim was walking along a path by the Forth and Clyde Canal in Glasgow’s Knightswood when the pervert pounced.
The attack happened near Rotherwood Avenue at about noon on Thursday.
Detective Sergeant Stephen McGrath, of Govan police office, said the victim was left “extremely shaken”.
He said the path is popular with dog walkers, cyclists, runners and pedestrians and asked anyone who noticed a man acting suspiciously in the area to contact police.
