Tram & bus collide in capital crash

-

A TRAM and a bus were involved in a collision in Edinburgh yesterday.

The Lothian Buses double-decker and the tram heading west to the city’s airport struck each other in Shandwick Place in the west end.

It’s understood no one was seriously hurt in the crash, which took place shortly before 8am.

The incident led to a disruption of tram services.

The smash followed the death of Carlos Correa Palacio, 53, who was struck by a tram near Saughton tram stop on Tuesday.

In June, a tram derailed after colliding with a bus near Edinburgh Airport.
