As a family, we love to play board games

-

My weekends are sacred as the week is so busy for all of us. My wife Kristina and I work so hard in the week and the kids’ lives are manic of course.

When they’re not doing school work, they are racing to activities, so on weekends we like to chill.

As we live in LA, we are lucky to be close to the beach, so on Friday nights we go and hang out on the sand with some food and wine.

The views are magnificent and it is a great way to unwind. Then on Saturdays we tend to either go back to the beach or we have the beauty of being close to the mountains, too.

My sister lives an hour-and-a-half away, so we go and visit her in the mountains, which is a real treat. In fact, some Saturdays, we can go from sunbathing on the beach to skiing in the mountains.

The kids are teenagers, so getting them out of bed can be difficult but Kristina and I will always go for an early-morning walk with our two dogs. We love to go hiking, so if the kids are willing, they will come with us to the canyons. It’s a great way to persuade them to get out in the fresh air.

As a family, we love to play board games, so we tend to do that a lot on Sundays and then focus on our favourite meal of the week – a Sunday roast.

There is always music on around the house. In fact, I’m praying I can start gigging again in March, so there is a lot of recording going on at the moment, especially as I have a new album coming up.”
