He’s Kolo the Celt

-

FORMER Liverpool defender Kolo Toure is expected to sign for Celtic today. Toure, 35 (left) was photographed outside Glasgow’s Ross Hall Hospital ahead of a medical yesterday morning. The Ivory Coast international is expected to become a Celtic player before they fly out to Kazakhstan tomorrow for their Champions League qualifier against Astana. The deadline for signings ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League third-round qualifier was July 21, but clubs are allowed a “wildcard” up to 24 hours before kick-off. The ex-Manchester City and Arsenal centre-back will become the second signing made by his one-time Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers since he took over as manager, after Fulham’s Moussa Dembele. Toure said: “It is a privilege to be linked with such a big club. “The Champions League is a great competition and I always look forward to it. “I plan to work hard every day in training and help the team to get better.”
