Scared Lou in last-ditch bid

PADDY Kirk arrives back in the village to make up with his wife Rhona – unaware she is in a relationship with Pierce Harris.

Vet Paddy was last seen in April, in the aftermath of his affair with Pierce’s wife Tess.

Distraught Rhona was due to leave with him for a fresh start in Germany but had a change of heart. Following his departure she grew close to widower Pierce and they eventually got together – to the horror of Paddy’s best mate Marlon Dingle.

So when Paddy arrives home to an empty house he goes straight round to see his mate.

As they catch up, Marlon realises Paddy has no idea Rhona is now with Pierce. He’s about to break the news when his daughter April falls over and Paddy slips out without him knowing.

He returns to Smithy cottage and is devastated to catch Rhona and Pierce in a passionate clinch. An Emmerdale insider said: “Rhona decides to write Paddy a letter to tell him she is now with Pierce. When she doesn’t hear anything back, she starts to worry whether he received it.

“But what she doesn’t know is that Paddy plans to surprise her by returning to the village.”

Fans of the ITV soap will be able to watch what happens when Paddy catches Rhona and Pierce a week on Tuesday.
