Ariana’s a Manc
ARIANA Grande will be crowned an official Mancunian next month following her £3million fundraiser for bombing victims.
As we revealed last week, civic leaders want to hand the US singer the prestigious title of Honorary Citizen of Manchester.
Ariana, 23, staged an all-star concert to help families of the 22 killed and dozens hurt in last month’s Manchester Arena suicide attack. City chiefs intend to rubber-stamp their pledge on July 12.
Town hall boss Sir Richard Leese said: “We’ve all had cause to be incredibly proud of Manchester and the resilient and compassionate way in which the city responded to the terrible events of May 22 with love and courage, rather than hatred and fear. “Ariana exemplified this response. I think many people would already consider her an honorary Mancunian, and we would be delighted to make it official.”
