FOOTIE legend Gazza was “back to his best” at his first stage appearance since his milestone 50th birthday in May.

The ex-England player looked healthy and relaxed as he hosted An Evening with Paul Gascoigne in Birmingham on Friday.

Gazza was pictured laughing and joking with the crowd at the event, which cost fans £80 per ticket.

One said: “He looked great, considering everything he has been through.

“He was back to his brilliant best.”

The talented midfielder, who won 57 international caps during his career, has dealt with a string of issues over the years, including multiple rehab stints for his drinking problem.

But his daughter, former Celebrity Big Brother star Bianca, says Gazza is now the best he’s ever been.

She said: “He’s looking and feeling great. It’s really good.”
