DAME Shirley Bassey says she would love to sing another Bond theme.

The diva performed Goldfinger and Diamonds Are Forever – two of the best known songs accompanying 007 movies.

And she has not ruled out making a return.

Dame Shirley, 80, said: “I have to be asked, of course, and perhaps there are other plans in place but I like the James Bond films and I’d certainly be happy to do another one.”

The Cardiff-born star was thrilled by the success of Goldfinger, her first Bond theme in 1964.

She said: “I was delighted it became so popular and people still want to hear it.”

But Dame Shirley, who also sang the theme for Moonraker, thinks her rendition was not perfect.

She said: “There were a couple of notes not quite right in the recording.

“Every time I hear it, I notice it.”
