A SET of sexy, successful and sassy poker babes are heading to the UK next week.

Kara Scott, Sofia Lovgren and Natalie Hof will battle players from around the world in the 888Live Festival London.

More women are taking up the game of skill and bluff which for years has been dominated by men.

Kara, 42, from Canada, who is also an anchor for the World Series of Poker on TV channel ESPN, said: “Seeing the amazing women in poker win tournaments and crush fields makes it clear that women can do that and there’s a place for us.”

Kara believes women and men share the same skills that go to make a good player, adding: “Things like stamina, the ability to concentrate for long periods of time, good math skills, people-reading ability, pattern recognition, discipline – lots of different things. According to the latest 888poker statistics, 10% of players competing in online tournaments are women and they are picking up 7% of tournament winnings.

Swedish babe Sofia Lovgren, 27, would love to see a woman taking the Main Event title in London.

She said: “Poker doesn’t demand any physical skills, so both men and women can compete equally.”

German Natalie Hof, 31, first got into poker at the age of 18. She said: “I instantly fell in love with the game.
