Aidan’s final act
TELLY hit Poldark is set to end next year. The fifth series in 2019 will be the final outing for the drama, which is based on novels by Winston Graham.
Show hunk Aidan Turner, 34, said: “It’s been a bit fun for all of us and it’ll always be special, but things come to an end. “You don’t want things to go on too long and limp out of the back door.
“I think we’ve done really well with Winston’s books, but I think next year might be the last one.”
Aidan reckons the show could come back later on – but not for at least a decade.
He added: “There’s a huge gap in the books and I wouldn’t want to be ‘aged up’.
“I’d have to come back in 10 years, revisit it the right way.
“I’m not putting grey in my hair or anything like that.”
The new series, with Eleanor Tomlinson, 26, starts tonight at 9pm on BBC One.
