Matt’s not Mad after deal axed

- Fuse ODG, Sean Paul Kent Jones.

MATT Terry says he could easily have lost the plot after losing his record deal with RCA.

But the 2016 X Factor winner decided to follow his love of musical theatre instead.

Matt told me: “I could have got smashed every night, gone crazy, lost my mind and felt sorry for myself.

“Or I could just move on and look forward to what comes next.”

Matt will play the lead in a UK tour of Madagascar The Musical.

He said: “I’m really excited. Musical theatre was my first love.

“Before X Factor I got to the final few for Thriller Live, Kinky Boots and Book Of Mormon.”

Matt also revealed fellow XF champ James Arthur got in touch after he was ditched.

He added: “He just said we all have our own path in life and what we achieved winning X Factor was an amazing achievement, which no-one can ever take away.”
