Young Brits kick­ing booze-binge habits

MORE young Brits are sober­ing up and be­com­ing booze-free.

More than a quar­ter of 16 to 24-year-olds class them­selves as non-drinkers, re­search has re­vealed.

In­ter­net searches for al­co­hol-free drinks have shot up by 61% over the last six months. And the Go Sober for Oc­to­ber web­site has seen a 330% in­crease in vis­its over the last four weeks.

The trend to­wards non-drink­ing – up 11% in 10 years – was spread across all so­cial classes and ar­eas of the UK, ac­cord­ing to the BMC Pub­lic Health Jour­nal.
