IT’S AN AC/DC COBRA

-

YOU’LL all recognise this beauty: it is, of course, an AC Cobra.

AC Cars is still going strong and has just said it’s going to start building an electric version of its most famous model.

Only 58 will be made (to celebrate 58 years since the original Cobra was launched in 1962).

Each will look exactly like the original but will be powered by a 230kW electric motor fed by a 54kWh battery. Yours for £138,000.

If you still prefer petrol, AC is launching another newcomer powered by the 2.3-litre four-cylinder engine used in the Ford Mustang.

Again, only 58 will be built. This one is a more reasonable £85,000.

BMW is flat-out testing its new M4 coupé and M3 saloons ready for their launch in September.

Our snap shows a disguised car on the road.

Both models have a 3.0-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder motor and come with an option of two power outputs. The regular M3s and M4s come with a 480bhp engine and the option of a six-speed manual ’box.

Competition spec cars have a 510bhp motor and an eight-speed auto. That’s respectively 49bhp and 60bhp more power.
